House Clearance Requirements
Our client contacted House Clearance Hull to arrange the clearance of a four-bedroomed detached house in Kingston upon Hull. His parents owned the house, but they had decided to live permanently in Spain in what had been the family’s holiday villa in the countryside near the Costa del Sol. The house was to be rented out but much of the furniture was either antique or of good quality. They’d decided to replace that with furnishings from IKEA and MFI for the purposes of letting and to put their quality furnishings in storage. They also had an extensive library and some other valuable personal effects that they wanted to put in storage.
We were instructed to pack up all the furniture and effects and to deliver them to a secure storage facility.
Clearance Overview
Parking was available in the property’s front driveway, so there would be no difficulties loading the contents into our vans. We had brought with us all the specialist packing materials we’d need. We started by wrapping all the furnishings in bubble wrap, and we packed some oil paintings as well. Then we boxed up the books and packed the other personal possessions such as a Bang and Olufsen stereo, an antique telescope and some valuable porcelain. We have plenty of experience of safely packing valuable and fragile items, so this all went without a hitch.
The client popped into the property a few times to check on our progress. We realised he was quite nervous about the safety of his parents’ valuable belongings, but he could see that we knew what we were doing and was reassured by our quiet professionalism.
