We specialise in House Clearance throughout Northern England & Scotland.
We undertake complete house clearances, all provided by a fully insured & licensed company.
We clear houses and flats throughout the whole of Northern England & Scotland. We clear standard houses as well as cluttered or verminous properties & garages, gardens, garden sheds, lofts. Did you know? We can also clean the property once it has been cleared to get it ready for sale or to let.
We are members of the AFTA.ORG.UK Anti Fly Tipping Association which means we operate according to a strict code of conduct. Back To TOP
No, you will NOT be charged an extra 20% VAT. Back To TOP
Where does everything from the house clearance go?
We recycle as much as we can! / on average we recycle about 75% of everything we remove. We forward on anything useful to various charities (See Below), animal shelters and recycling centers.
We ensure any sensitive materials (bank statements, credit cards etc.) are all securely disposed of / destroyed / keeping you safe from identity theft. If we find anything of any value in your clearance, we will inform you, we regularly find lost jewelry and forgotten cash! Back To TOP
Do you donate items to charities?
Yes of course, it is in our interest to donate as much as we can to keep recycling fees down. We can usually manage to set aside a good percentage of items we clear to be later re-used by various charitable organisations across Northern England & throughout Scotland.
We donate the following items on a regular basis:
- Bric-a-barc
- Furniture
- Clothing
- Books
- Pictures
- Costume jewellery etc…
Please Note: We are not a charity, we are a profit making business. We simply try and donate any reusable or recyclable items to charity from all of our house clearances. Please read our charity let down page.
Our NO 1 PRIORITY is to clear the property for you on the day, as you may appreciate sometimes it is not practical to keep everything on the vans for charity, for example if a property is cluttered then the van will have to be off loaded at a recycling centre so we can reload to ensure we get the house fully cleared on the day. We usually leave the better items in the property to load onto the van last to ensure the better items go to charity. Back To TOP
Should I pack anything before the house clearance date to help?
No! Please do not pack anything if you have not already done so as we have to separate & sort items for recycling & charity. We can pack everything ourselves, clothing, empty drawers, cupboards and even the food from the cupboards. Back To TOP
How much does house clearance cost?
It can vary! / we can provide you a quote over the phone, our quote includes everything, we don’t add anything on when we arrive or finish, no hidden extras, our quote is completely transparent. Compared to the cost of hiring skips and the time you would spend filling it, we believe our fees are extremely reasonable. If extra van loads are required on the day, the cost of each extra load is only 50% of your original quote. Please see our How Much Does House Clearance Cost Page. Back To TOP
Do you guarantee to clear the whole property?
Yes! The last thing you want is a house clearance company turning up on the day and telling you they can not fit everything into their van thus leaving you with the headache & stress of reorganizing another day off work for them or another company to come back to clear what is left.
We guarantee to clear everything in the property, if there are a lot of items to clear it may mean we have to do a second load to get the house cleared, the cost of a second load is half of the original quote. The only items we are not licensed to dispose of is soil, chemicals, gas bottles and rubble.
We will not leave you with items in the property like other house clearance companies & we will not ask for payment until the property is fully cleared. Back To TOP
The property to be cleared has become dirty, neglected and insanitary. Can you deal with the problems resulting from this?
Yes. This often happens where, for example, the previous occupants went through a long period of illness or infirmity, and in these circumstances we can not only clear the property as normal, but provide a deep cleaning service for bathrooms, kitchens, and other parts of the property as required. Even in cases of extreme contamination we will be happy to do the job. In addition, we can clear the garden, and generally reinstate the whole property, leaving it ready for immediate sale or transfer. See our cluttered & verminous house clearance page. Back To TOP
What about items I wish to keep?
We are always happy to transport any items you wish to retain to a local destination within the designated area. Back To TOP
I’m not in the UK at the moment. Can you help?
Yes, we often work with overseas clients and are always pleased to assist with international enquiries. We have all the necessary facilities available for individuals and companies requiring our services while abroad. Back To TOP
There is a vehicle included in the estate. Can you deal with this as well?
Yes. This often occurs when clearing a home on behalf of executors, and we can arrange for the purchase of all types of vehicles, or organise their disposal, as required. Back To TOP
Are you licensed to carry waste?
We certainly are, our license is issued by the Environment Agency. It is a little known fact that members of the public have a DUTY OF CARE to ensure that anyone handling waste on there behalf is licensed by the Environment Agency to do so. Our license number is CBDU375404. We are also verified members of AFTA – Anti Fly Tipping Association
Notice! It is not unknown for people to have legitimately paid for waste disposal services from unscrupulous operators who have no license and ended up finding themselves in court if the waste has not been disposed of illegally.
This paragraph is taken from the defra.gov.uk website: If fly-tipped waste is traced back to a particular household, the householders could be fined up to £5000. However, the ultimate aim is not to fine people, but to ensure that they use registered waste carriers. Back To TOP
